This broadcast is complete and you can watch the recording
In “Two Paths to Understanding Words: Translation and Commentary”, Rabbi Meni Even-Israel will discuss how the way we read Jewish texts, and the languages we read them in, are part of an ancient tradition of commentary and interpretation. That tradition is alive and well today, and we celebrate the newest translations and commentaries by Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz.

Rabbi Meni Even-Israel was born in Jerusalem. He was ordained by Israel’s Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu and served as a Campus Rabbi for several years in the United States. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Steinsaltz Center in Jerusalem, overseeing Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz’s institutions worldwide. He is responsible for the completion of the English and French editions of the Steinsaltz Talmud, and most recently the publication of the Steinsaltz Tanakh. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Liza, and their four children.
